Online Assessment
An online project called Online Learning Assessment System (OLAS) was implemented as a pilot project during the second semester of 2014-15. Four undergraduate programs from the School of Communication (Information and Journalism, Audiovisual Communication, and Public Relations and Advertising) and the Modern Languages Program participated in this project, along with two graduate masters programs in Social Work and Communication. The professors and coordinators that participated in the project found this instrument very useful since it facilitates the student-learning assessment process. They felt that it assists them in designing better assessment instruments, analyzing assessment data, identifying areas to be strengthened, and in the communication of assessment results to the department members and students. More graduate and undergraduate programs will be participating in the next assessment cycle.
